Join Associated Technologies Private Limited as a Junior Engineer specializing in Power Systems for Telecom Infrastructure. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional to support the planning, monitoring, and maintenance of telecom power systems including solar, battery backup, and diesel generator setups. As a key contributor, you analyze site-level energy data, extract performance metrics using remote monitoring systems, and maintain accurate engineering documentation. You collaboratively work with operations and engineering teams to ensure data quality integrity, present findings clearly, and contribute to system optimization. This position suits recent graduates or professionals with up to three years of experience in electrical or energy engineering, who demonstrate proficiency in power systems fundamentals and data analysis tools.
Responsibilities
Job Overview

The Junior Electrical Engineer will support the design, analysis, and performance monitoring of power systems (solar, battery, and diesel generator (DG) setups) across the telecom site portfolio. This role is heavily data-driven, working with site-level energy datasets to size solar and battery expansions, track DG fuel efficiency, and identify sites where equipment is underperforming or requires redesign.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze site-level energy data (load, solar generation, battery backup hours, and DG fuel consumption) to support expansion planning.
  • Extract and interpret site monitoring data from RMS platforms (Neteco R10, Neteco R24, and Reon) for load, alarms, and energy performance tracking.
  • Maintain and update site engineering trackers/workbooks for solar sizing, battery sizing, and DG burn-rate benchmarking using accurate formulas and clean data.
  • Identify and escalate data quality issues, including missing site data, inconsistent equipment tagging, and broken links or formulas.
  • Prepare clear reports, summaries, and presentations for engineering and operations teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field (Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Hands-on knowledge of RMS platforms, including Neteco (R10, R24) and Reon, for remote site monitoring, alarms, and power/energy data extraction.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and handling large datasets.
  • Basic understanding of power systems, including:
    • Solar PV sizing
    • Battery backup and autonomy calculations
    • Diesel generator operation and fuel consumption
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies.
  • Good written communication and reporting skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with telecom tower infrastructure or off-grid power systems.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Python, or basic scripting for data analysis.
  • Understanding of regional solar factor (SF) and its impact on system sizing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for technical reporting and presentations.
Key Competencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to identify data gaps and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in power systems and telecom infrastructure.
