Audit and Tax Intern

MAANU Venture is offering an exciting internship opportunity for motivated and detail-oriented individuals interested in gaining practical experience in audit and taxation. This role is well-suited for students or recent graduates in accounting, finance, or related fields who want to develop their skills within a dynamic consulting environment. Interns will receive hands-on exposure to real-world audit and tax cases and work closely with experienced professionals to enhance their understanding of financial compliance and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and review of income tax and sales tax returns.
- Support external and internal audit assignments by conducting vouching, data analysis, and record verification to ensure accuracy.
- Help maintain audit working papers and documentation to comply with regulatory standards.
- Perform reconciliations and support ledger scrutiny activities.
- Participate in fieldwork and coordinate with clients as needed.
- Research tax laws and regulations under the supervision of the audit team.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce, either in progress or completed.
- Basic knowledge of tax regulations applicable in Pakistan, with familiarity of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity when handling sensitive information.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a professional environment.

This is a full-time, in-person internship position offering a monthly stipend ranging from Rs25,000 to Rs30,000.
