We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Intern to join our Internal Audit Department. This internship is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates or final-year students to gain hands-on experience in auditing, accounting, inventory verification, and internal controls. The successful candidate will assist with various field audit activities such as physical verifications, stock counts, branch and warehouse visits, documentation review, and other operational audit assignments. This role offers valuable exposure to internal audit procedures and business operations, with the possibility of full-time employment based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Internal Audit team in conducting field audits and operational inspections.
- Perform physical stock counts, cash counts, and other verification activities.
- Visit branches, warehouses, and other operational locations as assigned.
- Support the review of daily claims, acid working, scrap purchases, and related transactions.
- Collect and verify supporting documents and audit evidence.
- Identify and report discrepancies, irregularities, and control weaknesses to the Audit Manager.
- Maintain proper audit working papers and documentation.
- Assist with reconciliations and other audit-related tasks as required.
- Perform any other assignments related to Internal Audit as directed by the Audit Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com), Business Administration (BBA), Accounting & Finance (BS), or an equivalent qualification.
- Fresh graduates and final-year students are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of accounting, auditing, or finance principles.
- Familiarity with MS Excel and MS Office applications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Willingness to perform regular fieldwork and travel for audit assignments.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
