General Manager Operations

OVERVIEW:

Australian Concept Infertility and Medical Center “(Australian Concept”) is a family owned IVF practice since 1998 helping couples to realize their dream of a healthy baby. Over the last two decades, the Karachi based IVF Clinic has grown into Pakistan’s largest chain of IVF Clinics. With more than 15 owned and partnered clinics and locations, we continue to consolidate and expand further.  At this exciting time of growth and opportunity, a new position has been created for a General Manager Operations (ICT, Punjab & KPK).

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• You will be reporting to the CEO/Director and seek strategic direction to oversee, manage, consolidate and grow the IVF practice into new regional Punjab, KPK and international markets.
• Align the business performance to meet annual business goals and targets.
• You will lead quarterly practice performance review meetings and report back to the CEO and Directors with actionable facts and summary.
• Analyze problems and recommend innovative, cost effective pragmatic solutions.
• Leading a well-groomed dynamic and supportive team, you will provide direction to all business units including clinical, nursing, marketing, administration, diagnostics, IT, front desk and housekeeping.
• Assure appropriate resourcing levels for the delivery of high quality care and patient satisfaction.
• Motivate the team to exceed patient’s expectations in all areas and ensure succession planning in critical roles.
• Ensure Company protocols and SOPs are implemented and supervise the Practice Managers and Admins to provide day to day management and troubleshooting on the ground.
• You will monitor and review on a daily basis Quality Control and Quality Assurance metrics across pharmacy, OT and Lab areas.
• You will be accountable for ensuring the practice continues to produce positive outcomes for our patients.
• You will ensure all the critical assets like Incubators, Microscopes, HVAC system, diagnostics, sensitive equipment etc are well maintained, serviced and operational and service documentation up to date.
• You will ensure optimum use of Company’s resources, maintain up to date assets inventory and conduct regular audits on fixed, moveable and IT assets.
• Ensure critical drugs are sourced timely and cold-chain managed. Negotiate supplier contracts for critical asset maintenance and ensure cost savings.
• You will lead in the planning, design, implementation of new clinical programs and services. Identify and cover any gaps in counselling and essential legal paperwork such as consent forms.
• Develop a deep understanding of IVF business, market and proactively identify market shifts and trends.
• Maintain excellent relationship with Consultants, Doctors and stakeholders across all clinics.
• Ensures cost reduction targets and productivity improvement objectives are met, while cultivating service/product quality and customer satisfaction.
• You will evaluate daily, weekly and monthly operational reports and provide direction to the teams to continuously improve service delivery and patient satisfaction.
• You will perform strategic and tactical planning and monitoring to achieve short and long term objectives.
• You will closely monitor patient service area facilities and ensure the facility is maintained and presents a professional environment at all times.
• You will be responsible for ensuring Human Resource processes and SOPs are followed during recruitment and exit process.
• You will ensure strict compliance with all the relevant authorities such as Healthcare Commission and PMC/PMDC.
• You will promote a paperless culture and encourage relevant staff to maximise use of IT systems and databases and ensure IT system use policy is implemented, data integrity and data security is not compromised.
• Keep the CEO & Directors abreast of issues or problems impacting services efficiencies and effectiveness.
• You will travel to our regional clinics and primary IVF Clinics for a maximum 3-5 days each month.

Skills Required:

• Strong clinical skillset.
• Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment to corporate strategic mission.
• Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven clinical and professional management ability, risk management and excellent leadership skills.
• Capability to build teams, develop people and motivate to achieve high performance.
• Business development experience in health care sector.

Minimum Education:

• MBA is mandatory from a highly reputable University
• MBBS, MPH desired but not mandatory
• MPH.Certification in healthcare will be an added advantage

Previous Experience:

10 Years - 12 Years (At least 10-12 years of relevant Leadership and Management experience. Experience in a JCI or ISO 9001 accredited health care facility will be preferred)
