Key Responsibilities

- Understand software requirements and contribute to the design of automation products and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze existing technology architectures, system dependencies, and application stacks to inform project planning.
- Collaborate with project management to formulate and submit detailed project plans, outlining development steps and timelines.
- Engage with users, partners, and clients regularly to review project objectives and current operating procedures.
- Research and contribute to the automation roadmap by exploring new architectures and developing innovative automation solutions.
- Maintain and improve automation frameworks for cross-technology stack usage, including building reusable libraries for various business verticals.
- Design and execute software development and testing activities, including preparing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios, and executing them to validate automation processes.
- Resolve complex technical design issues and participate in design discussions related to both functional and non-functional testing requirements.
- Implement, track, and report key metrics to ensure comprehensive coverage of automation testing.
- Own the testing and validation process to eliminate errors and maintain high-quality code standards.
- Track and document defects, resolutions, and mitigation techniques to build a knowledge base for future reference.
- Develop and update automated testing tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with Agile delivery teams to understand product vision and develop scalable, high-quality automation tests for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Assist in defining acceptance criteria for user stories and managing the test automation backlog.
- Work closely with development teams to enhance continuous deployment practices by formalizing processes and providing necessary tools.
- Partner with business Subject Matter Experts to gather automation requirements and deploy solutions accordingly.
- Ensure thorough documentation of projects following organizational guidelines to support long-term maintainability.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication among test personnel, users, developers, and clients to expedite problem resolution and document successes.
- Provide backend/database programming support for key projects as needed.
- Stay current with industry standards and integrate best practices into automation efforts.

Required Qualifications

- 3 to 5 years of experience in Full Stack Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) roles.
- Strong expertise in designing, programming, simulating, and testing automation products or processes.
- Proven ability to develop technical specifications, test plans, and automated testing tools.
- Experience working within Agile teams and familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle, testing methodologies, and defect management.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to perform backend and database programming tasks.
