Key Responsibilities

- Understand software requirements and contribute to the design of automation products and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze existing technology architectures, system interdependencies, and application stacks to inform project planning.
- Collaborate with project management to develop and submit detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with objectives.
- Engage with users, partners, and clients regularly to understand current operating procedures and project goals.
- Research and contribute to the automation roadmap by exploring new architectures and developing innovative automation solutions.
- Maintain and improve automation frameworks for cross-technology stack use and build reusable libraries tailored to business verticals.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, including test cases, scenarios, and usage cases, ensuring readiness of the testing environment.
- Develop technical specifications and resolve complex design issues related to automation testing.
- Participate in design discussions with development teams to address both functional and non-functional automation requirements.
- Implement and monitor key metrics to ensure comprehensive coverage of requirements through automation.
- Own the testing and validation of code to eliminate errors and track issues, resolutions, and bug fixes systematically.
- Design and update automated testing tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop efficient programs adhering to Wipro standards, leveraging existing logic, team collaboration, and accepted design patterns.
- Work closely with Agile delivery teams to understand product vision and backlogs, creating robust test automation for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Assist in defining acceptance criteria for user stories and maintain a test automation backlog.
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance continuous deployment practices through strategic process improvements and tooling.
- Partner with business Subject Matter Experts to understand automation requirements and deploy solutions accordingly.
- Ensure thorough documentation of projects in compliance with Wipro guidelines to support long-term maintainability.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication among testers, developers, users, and clients to resolve issues promptly and document successes.
- Provide support to testers and support personnel to diagnose system problems.
- Perform backend and database programming as required for key projects.
- Stay current with industry standards and integrate best practices into automation efforts.

Required Qualifications

- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in automation and software testing.
- Proficiency in Python, particularly for insights and automation scripting.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles, automation frameworks, and testing methodologies.
- Experience working within Agile teams and familiarity with continuous integration and deployment practices.
- Ability to design, develop, and maintain automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to independently research and resolve technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
