AWS Cloud & Network Engineer

Thathal ITS is seeking a skilled and hands-on engineer to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot AWS cloud infrastructure, networking, servers, and virtualization environments. The ideal candidate will have practical experience working with cloud platforms and networking technologies, ensuring smooth and secure operations within a hybrid work model based in Islamabad/Rawalpindi. This role requires working aligned with the USA time zone, offering a dynamic environment for professionals passionate about cloud infrastructure and network management.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot AWS cloud infrastructure components such as EC2 instances, VPCs, security groups, and cloud networking configurations.
- Oversee and maintain networking setups, including TCP/IP protocols, routing, VPNs, and IPsec tunnels to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
- Administer Linux servers and configure firewall solutions like pfSense or similar platforms to maintain network security and performance.
- Work with virtualization platforms such as XCP-ng or VMware to deploy and manage virtual environments.
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues promptly, applying strong problem-solving skills to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud infrastructure needs and implement best practices in cloud and network management.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure and networking roles.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, VPC, security groups, and cloud networking.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, routing protocols, VPN technologies, and IPsec.
- Experience managing Linux servers and working with firewall solutions like pfSense or equivalent.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, particularly XCP-ng or VMware platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities with a focus on infrastructure and network problem resolution.
