AWS Specialist

In this hourly, remote contractor position, you will serve as an AWS Specialist (Subject Matter Expert) responsible for designing and executing realistic, challenging computer-based tasks using Amazon Web Services and related cloud workflows. Your role involves creating practical AWS scenarios, thoroughly documenting them in SuperAnnotate, ensuring your environment supports the tasks, and recording your task execution on your computer. These tasks will help train advanced AI models to better understand how real users perform cloud computing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Design realistic AWS tasks that can be executed on a computer, ensuring they are challenging and practical. Document each task clearly within SuperAnnotate.
- Prepare your work environment by securing AWS access, permissions, test resources, sample files, and any necessary references before recording.
- Record yourself performing the AWS tasks, following project guidelines to ensure workflows are clear, complete, realistic, and safe.
- Provide comprehensive task context, including steps, goals, resource details, files, and notes, so reviewers can fully understand the task and its completion.
- Demonstrate practical use of AWS services such as Console navigation, IAM, S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, billing views, security groups, deployment workflows, and troubleshooting scenarios.
- Review your recordings and documentation prior to submission to guarantee quality, clarity, safety, and alignment with project requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Proven hands-on experience with AWS for cloud setup, configuration, monitoring, storage, compute, permissions, deployment, or troubleshooting.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher to accurately understand instructions, document tasks, and communicate effectively with the project team.
- Comfort with using computers, browser-based tools, cloud consoles, documentation platforms, terminals when necessary, and recording software.
- Ability to create realistic and challenging AWS tasks that reflect actual use cases in cloud, DevOps, backend, administration, data, or infrastructure environments.
- Strong foundational knowledge of AWS services including IAM, S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, security groups, regions, billing, and resource configuration.
- Capability to ensure your setup supports the task by having appropriate AWS access, permissions, sample resources, safe test environments, and relevant references ready before recording.
- High attention to detail in task preparation, workflow execution, and quality review to ensure recordings are complete, safe, and understandable.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to consistently deliver quality work in a remote, hourly contractor role across different time zones.
