Ayat Hospital and Clinics is seeking a competent and patient-friendly Medical Officer with a minimum of five years of experience to join our dedicated healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent patient care and managing comprehensive clinical assessments to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment. This role requires proficiency in diagnostic reasoning, emergency medicine, and pharmacology knowledge to provide timely and effective medical interventions. The Medical Officer will also oversee medical record keeping, patient history taking, and diagnostic testing interpretation while ensuring strict adherence to healthcare regulatory compliance and infection control protocols. The Medical Officer will lead and manage a team of ten healthcare professionals, fostering a collaborative and efficient clinical environment. Effective team collaboration and clinical workflow optimization are essential to enhance patient care coordination and service delivery. This role will also involve utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems and health information systems (HIS) to maintain comprehensive clinical documentation and support patient safety through medication therapy management and pharmacovigilance. Commitment to maintaining health information privacy, including HIPAA compliance, will be integral to the daily functions of the position.
Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and physical examinations to evaluate and diagnose patient health conditions.
  • Manage patient care by developing and implementing appropriate treatment plans and coordinating follow-ups.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulatory standards.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results to facilitate precise medical decision-making.
  • Provide emergency medical treatment and resuscitation when required in accordance with established protocols.
  • Monitor medication therapy, ensuring drug safety and compliance with clinical pharmacology standards.
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control, health information privacy, and HIPAA regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and supervise a team of ten healthcare professionals, promoting efficient clinical workflow and teamwork.
  • Optimize clinical workflow processes to improve patient care coordination and clinical audit quality assurance.
  • Utilize electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation software to ensure comprehensive health information management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and healthcare service delivery.
  • Conduct clinical audits and participate in quality improvement initiatives to uphold high standards of care.
  • Manage medical coding and classification using ICD-10 and CPT to support accurate health information reporting.
  • Stay current with advancements in clinical pharmacology and pharmacovigilance practices.
  • Promote patient safety and foster patient-friendly interactions to build trust and satisfaction.
