The Azure DevOps Consultant role at ASHLAR is an on-site position based in Pakistan. The consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure DevOps pipelines that support continuous integration, delivery, and deployment across multiple projects. This role requires close collaboration with development and operations teams to manage source control, build workflows, and infrastructure as code. The consultant will also focus on optimizing environments for reliability and scalability while monitoring and troubleshooting integration and infrastructure issues. Additionally, the role involves improving automation practices and advising stakeholders on DevOps best practices and cloud-native architectures.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines to support continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to manage source control and build workflows.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Azure-related technologies and automation frameworks.
- Optimize environments for scalability, reliability, and security.
- Monitor and troubleshoot integration and infrastructure issues to ensure smooth operations.
- Improve automation practices to enhance efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
- Advise stakeholders on DevOps best practices and cloud-native architecture strategies.
- Maintain version control systems and develop scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to support automation and deployment processes.

Required Qualifications

- Strong experience in software development and integration, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in continuous integration practices and tools, including build and release management within Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and infrastructure management, preferably using Azure technologies.
- Solid knowledge of cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure, as well as containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Ability to design and maintain secure, scalable, and high-availability DevOps solutions.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
