Azure DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

- Lead complex infrastructure migrations, consolidations, and implement production-grade automations and monitoring enhancements.
- Triage production outages by applying immediate fixes and authoring detailed root cause analyses, ensuring permanent solutions are assigned to the appropriate teams.
- Create, review, and execute changes in production environments, including thorough validation of change safety before deployment.
- Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support fast, safe, and repeatable deployments.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks through scripting and development of internal tools to boost team efficiency.
- Deploy and manage microservices on cloud platforms, handling configuration, scaling, and troubleshooting.
- Participate actively in incident response and post-incident reviews, maintaining comprehensive runbooks for critical systems.
- Improve system monitoring and observability by developing dashboards, alerts, and log pipelines.
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation for all systems and processes under your ownership.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience in a production environment.
- Proven expertise with Azure cloud services; familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and managing changes.
- Practical experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or Argo Workflows.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container ecosystems (ECS, EKS, or AKS), with required proficiency in Helm.
- Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, including processes, networking, permissions, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with observability tools like the LGTM stack, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
- Competence in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Security-first mindset, emphasizing IAM least-privilege principles, secrets management, and container hardening.
