Ecert provides mandatory online training to care homes and care groups across the UK, helping care providers stay compliant with CQC regulations in a simple and affordable way. With an existing customer base and a product that clients regularly renew, there remains significant opportunity to expand within a market full of potential providers.
Key Responsibilities
You will spend most of your time engaging with UK care home owners and managers via phone. Your role involves identifying the key decision-makers, understanding their training requirements, presenting the ecert solution, and closing sales. While marketing will supply some inbound leads for you to convert, the majority of your sales pipeline will be generated through your own outbound calling efforts. The sales process is typically short and transactional, with many deals closing on the first call or following a single demo. Daily activities include making high volumes of outbound calls using provided and self-generated lists, supported by email and LinkedIn outreach. You will manage the entire sales cycle—from discovery and demo delivery to quoting, objection handling, and closing. Accurately maintaining CRM records in CloudTalk and HubSpot is essential, including detailed notes, next steps, and weekly forecasting. Once a sale is completed, you will hand over the customer to the onboarding team and return to prospecting. Additionally, you will provide feedback on common objections and successful tactics to help refine the team’s sales approach.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have at least three years of outbound phone sales experience targeting UK or US businesses, ideally gained in lead generation, BPO sales, or B2B telesales environments. A proven track record of closing deals independently—not just booking meetings—is essential. Strong spoken English skills and the confidence to engage in natural, persuasive conversations with UK business owners are required. You must be able to conduct brief screen-share demos, manage objections effectively, and confidently ask for the sale. Comfort with spending the majority of your day on the phone and resilience to handle rejection constructively are important. Discipline in CRM usage is expected, with experience in HubSpot and dialler systems considered a plus. Prior care-sector experience is not necessary, as full training on the product, market, and CQC regulations will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Success in this role is measured by daily calls and conversations with decision-makers, demos booked and conducted, conversion rates from demo to sale, new customers acquired, and monthly revenue targets met. The company fosters an open, collaborative culture where employees are encouraged to take responsibility, contribute ideas, and engage fully from day one. Core behaviors include agility, curiosity, excellence, care for colleagues and customers, and ownership of one’s work and mistakes.
The position offers a competitive base salary with uncapped commission on every sale closed. Comprehensive product and sales training is provided from the outset. You will join a supportive team environment where ideas are welcomed, ownership is encouraged, and individual contributions are recognized.
