Back End Developer

SOFRIX is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team in Faisalabad. This on-site role involves designing, building, and scaling APIs and server-side systems to support our expanding product offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong practical background in backend development, with experience in real-world projects and the ability to deliver clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. This position requires working hours from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust backend systems and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Utilize frameworks such as NestJS, Fastify, and Express to build scalable server-side applications.
- Implement and manage database schemas, queries, and indexing in PostgreSQL.
- Design and build RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Ensure secure authentication, authorization, and API security practices are in place.
- Handle caching mechanisms, message queues, and background job processing to optimize system performance.
- Own services end-to-end, from initial design and development through deployment and maintenance.
- Write clean, tested, and maintainable code that performs well under load and scales efficiently.

Required Qualifications
- A minimum CGPA of 3.0 is required. Graduates from FAST, COMSATS, and NUST are preferred, though practical skills and project experience are highly valued.
- Extensive hands-on experience in backend development with a focus on production-level systems.
- Expertise in Node.js and TypeScript programming languages.
- Proficiency with backend frameworks including NestJS, Fastify, and Express.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools such as Prisma and TypeORM.
- Solid understanding of PostgreSQL database design, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and microservices.
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization protocols, ensuring secure API access.
- Knowledge of caching strategies, job queues, and background processing to enhance application performance.
