Back End Developer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with over 4 years of professional experience specializing in AWS cloud architecture and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the core server infrastructure, APIs, and transactional engines that support high-throughput digital streaming, social platforms, and e-commerce ecosystems. This is a full-time, paid position based in Karachi, with night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-concurrency microservices using Node.js/TypeScript, Python, or Go. These services will cover areas such as media ingestion, ticketing, social feeds, and payment processing.

Develop and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services including Amazon ECS/EKS, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS (PostgreSQL/Aurora), ElastiCache (Redis), S3, CloudFront, and AWS Media Services like MediaConvert and Rekognition.

Implement low-latency streaming solutions, including SPEKE v2 Multi-DRM content protection (FairPlay, Widevine, PlayReady), LL-HLS video delivery, and WebRTC signaling gateways to support real-time media applications.

Architect and maintain high-integrity financial and transactional systems. This includes row-level venue seat locking, dynamic TOTP QR ticketing generation, PCI-compliant payment integrations such as Stripe and Apple/Google Pay, and BIGINT double-entry ledger accounting engines.

Integrate AI-driven real-time voice processing pipelines, including Speech-to-Text (STT) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) technologies from providers like Deepgram, OpenAI, and ElevenLabs. Manage WebRTC media streams and multi-tier AI execution engines.

Optimize database schemas and queries, enhance Redis caching layers, enforce strict PCI-DSS compliance and security best practices, write automated tests, and oversee CI/CD pipelines on AWS for seamless deployment.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on backend system design, development, and deployment in production environments.

Strong hands-on expertise with AWS cloud services, including compute and containerization tools such as AWS ECS/EKS, Fargate, Lambda, and Docker.

Deep knowledge of relational database design and management, particularly PostgreSQL. Experience with complex indexing, ACID transactions, connection pooling, and maintaining ledger and financial accounting integrity.

Proficiency in real-time and streaming technologies, including WebSockets, gRPC, Redis Pub/Sub, HLS/LL-HLS delivery, and WebRTC protocols.
