Backend Developer – AI Vibe Coder | Next.js, NestJS & Laravel

Concept Beans is seeking a highly motivated and technically curious Backend Developer or AI-Powered Full-Stack Developer to join their team. This full-time position is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of experience who are passionate about solving complex problems and building modern, scalable applications. The role emphasizes the use of AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate coding while maintaining a deep understanding of the code being written. The preferred technology stack includes Next.js, NestJS, Laravel (API-based), TypeScript, and modern databases. Note that Laravel is used exclusively for backend APIs and business logic, while Next.js handles the frontend.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop scalable and secure REST APIs using Laravel and NestJS.
- Build backend services, authentication systems, and implement business logic.
- Work with databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.
- Create efficient, maintainable, and well-structured applications.
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues.
- Collaborate on frontend development using Next.js, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Connect Next.js frontend applications with Laravel and NestJS backends.
- Understand server-side rendering, API integration, routing, and modern web architecture.
- Build responsive and high-performance web applications using component-based design.
- Utilize AI coding assistants to enhance development speed and quality.
- Write effective prompts and provide technical context to AI tools.
- Generate, review, debug, refactor, and optimize AI-assisted code.
- Rapidly prototype and build MVPs.
- Experiment with AI APIs, large language model integrations, and automation workflows.
- Independently verify AI-generated code for correctness, security, and performance.
- Translate ideas and requirements into working technical solutions.
- Research new technologies and solve challenges independently.
- Identify bugs, performance bottlenecks, and architectural issues.
- Take ownership of assigned features from development through deployment.

Required Qualifications

- Working knowledge of Next.js and React.
- Basic to intermediate experience with Laravel for API development.
- Familiarity with NestJS and Node.js.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, and SQL.
- Understanding of REST APIs, authentication mechanisms, and database relationships.
- Experience with Git and GitHub version control.
- Practical experience using AI coding tools.
- Strong debugging skills and logical reasoning.
- Ability and willingness to learn new frameworks and technologies independently.
