As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a talented Backend Developer to join our Islamabad-based team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that enable smooth communication between user interfaces and databases. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers and data scientists to create scalable, secure, and efficient APIs and services, utilizing your expertise in Python, web frameworks, and Microsoft Azure AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust backend systems using Python and frameworks such as Fast API and Django.
- Create and maintain well-documented, scalable, and secure APIs for data access and manipulation.
- Develop and integrate functionalities that interact with Microsoft Azure services and AI tools.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and data scientists to ensure seamless integration across application layers.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and optimize backend code performance.
- Participate in the full application lifecycle, focusing on coding, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Write clean, maintainable code to develop functional web applications and resolve issues.
- Conduct UI tests to optimize performance and assist in integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Gather and address technical and design requirements from stakeholders.
- Provide training and support to internal teams as needed.
- Build reusable code libraries for future use and troubleshoot complex backend issues to maintain application stability.
- Stay updated with the latest backend development tools and technologies to continuously enhance system performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in backend development using Python.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
- In-depth knowledge of web development concepts, including RESTful APIs and HTTP methods.
- Proficiency in at least one web framework such as Fast API or Django.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and its services.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure AI tools, such as Cognitive Services or Machine Learning APIs, is advantageous.
- Experience with database technologies like PostgreSQL or MySQL, and containerization tools such as Docker.
- Demonstrated ability to implement security best practices in backend development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for writing efficient, maintainable code.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
- Experience with cloud deployment and infrastructure management tools, including Azure DevOps or AWS.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
