Backend Developer (Java Spring Boot)

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Optimize database performance and manage data storage solutions, particularly with PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka or similar streaming platforms.
- Develop and maintain microservices architecture and distributed systems to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Utilize containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and management.
- Work with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform to build and deploy cloud-native applications.
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines and adhere to DevOps best practices to ensure smooth and reliable software delivery.
- Apply security best practices, including authentication and authorization mechanisms, to safeguard applications.
- Lead technical efforts by mentoring junior developers, conducting code reviews, and contributing to architectural decisions.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in backend software engineering or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming and Spring Boot framework.
- Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and database optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka or equivalent event-streaming platforms.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed system design.
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Experience working with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Expertise in system design focusing on scalability, performance optimization, and high availability.
- Experience implementing security protocols, including authentication and authorization.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including mentoring, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities along with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GraphQL and API Gateway technologies.
- Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Additional experience with messaging systems like Apache Kafka.
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Participation in architectural discussions and contributing to technical strategy.
