Selected responsibilities are:
- Organize and maintain financial records for the Company
- Compile, verify, and analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and accounting statements
- Undertake client billing and keep a control of ongoing projects and milestone based billing
- Processing expense payments and allocate expenses to relevant projects
- Ensure all clients remain informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines
- Managing the status of accounts and balances and identifying inconsistencies
- Preparation, validation and submission of monthly and quarterly UAE VAT returns
- Handle VAT reporting (payables and receivables). Ensure collections and payments are done in line with UAE regulations
- Calculate project profitability and prepare management accounts allocating costs and revenues by verticals
- Any other work as assigned from time to time
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or
- Professional Accounting qualification (ACCA/ICMA)
- 5-6 years of prior work experience. Candidates with prior experience of handling accounting of a management consultancy setup will be preferred
Knowledge and Skills required:
- Proficient skills in MS Office, in particular MS Excel
- Understanding of UAE VAT laws
- Good problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and IFRS.
