Barista

Salt Pakistan is seeking a dedicated Barista to join its Operations team in Lahore. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages that align with the company’s brand standards. This role demands consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size while ensuring an outstanding guest experience. The Barista will also maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols, contributing to the smooth functioning of the café environment under the supervision of the Restaurant or Branch Manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other hot and cold beverages following approved recipes and brand guidelines.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other beverage equipment efficiently and safely.
- Maintain consistency in beverage quality, including taste, temperature, and presentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service with a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Assist guests confidently with beverage selections by understanding the menu thoroughly.
- Keep the barista station and equipment clean, organized, and hygienic.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, and grooming standards rigorously.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients; report shortages promptly.
- Implement stock rotation, expiry checks, and proper storage procedures to minimize wastage.
- Collaborate effectively with front-of-house, back-of-house, and management teams to ensure seamless service.
- Adhere to opening, closing, cleaning, and equipment maintenance checklists.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
- Comply with company policies, attendance requirements, shift schedules, and management instructions.

Required Qualifications
- Matriculation or Intermediate qualification is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Barista in a premium café, restaurant, or hospitality setting is advantageous.
- Fresh candidates with a strong willingness to learn will also be considered.
- Basic knowledge of espresso preparation, coffee extraction, milk steaming, and latte art is a plus.

The Barista role at Salt Pakistan requires maintaining the company’s high service standards and professional conduct to protect its reputation. The position offers a monthly salary range of Rs50,000 to Rs60,000 and requires in-person attendance at the Lahore location. The successful candidate will be expected to perform any additional duties assigned by management in line with operational needs.
