Job Description-Database Developer The Position
The candidate will responsible for data gathering before the development of a database. Design, develop, test, implement and maintain new and existing databases. Create management queries, methods, stored procedures and systems to access efficiently information stored in databases. Work with consultants and other members of the company to improve processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
- Design, develop and implement database systems based on customer requirements.
- Prepare design specifications and functional documentations for assigned database projects.
- Perform space management and capacity planning for database systems.
- Develop database tables and dictionaries.
- Ensure data quality and integrity in databases.
- Identify any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures.
- Participate in database design and architecture to support application development projects.
- Test databases and perform bug fixes.
- Troubleshoot database related issues in a timely fashion.
- Evaluate existing database and recommend improvements for performance efficiency.
- Develop best practices for database design and development activities. Develop security procedures to protect databases from unauthorized usage.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Database developer
- In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring)
- Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
- Hands-on experience with SQL
- Familiarity working with.Net Framework, JavaScript, HTML, and Oracle
- Excellent analytical and organization skills
- An ability to understand front-end users requirements and a problem-solving attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field
