We are looking for an SEO Specialist to join our team!The SEO Specialist will manage the SEO needs for the client with a focus on research, analysis and strategic problem-solving.
Equipment and software will be provided to the candidate.
SEO Specialist Requirements
- Marketing degree or similar
- SEO campaign and writing experience
- Software: Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, basic HTMLWhat you’ll get to do:
- Research and recommend on-site optimizations for client and internal sites, including meta tags, site architecture, internal linking, schema, sitemaps, load speed, URL paths, etc.
- Review competitor backlinks to find common patterns
- Conduct keyword research on behalf of a set of diverse candidates and their competitors
- Review the technical aspects of specific pages and determine tactics to improve page speed, search visibility, etc.
- Research and optimize client knowledge graphs and open graphs
- Research rich snippets and find opportunities for your clients
- Dive into Google Analytics and Google Search Console to monitor site performance and report back to the team
- Utilize tools like SEMRush, ScreamingFrog, and/or Moz to analyze client and Statwax internal website for areas of improvement
- Regularly compile data for client reports and updatesSkills we’re looking for:
- A knowledge and passion for search engine optimization’s technical aspects
- A love for data problem solving, and a desire to learn how to apply those skills to derive insights
- Ability to work independently on keyword research projects, or with a team when the need arises
- Previous touchpoints with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google/Bing Webmasters, Google Tag Manager, SEMRush, ScreamingFrog, backlink checker tools, and/or Moz
- Understanding (or familiarity with) white hat and black hat tactics
- Ability to think critically to make process improvements and efficiencies
- Preferred but not necessary: Strong experience with WordPress, HTML/CSS, awareness of Google penalties/updates
