BI & Data Analytics Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Data Analytics professional to join our Compliance Analytics team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions that enhance compliance, streamline business processes, and provide actionable insights. You will engage throughout the analytics lifecycle—from gathering requirements and analyzing data to developing dashboards, building data models, and supporting data governance initiatives. Utilizing tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, dbt, and Microsoft Fabric, you will transform complex data into meaningful information that drives informed business decisions. Key Responsibilities

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders and Lead Analysts to understand business needs and translate them into effective technical and analytical solutions.

- Project Delivery: Support the end-to-end delivery of analytics projects, including requirements gathering, data exploration, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.

- Data Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data models using dbt and Microsoft Fabric semantic models. Manage large, complex, and imperfect datasets to produce reliable analytical outputs.

- Business Intelligence & Visualization: Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau, enabling the Compliance team to make data-driven decisions.

- Data Analytics: Write efficient and complex SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, transform, analyze, and automate data processes. Support business reporting, advanced analytics, and AI-driven initiatives.

- Insight Generation: Conduct detailed analytical investigations to identify trends, risks, operational inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Clearly present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Data Governance: Uphold high standards of data quality, consistency, and documentation. Assist with the triage and resolution of data governance issues raised through the Data Governance Forum.

Required Qualifications

- 4–5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related analytical role.

- Advanced SQL skills with proven experience in data extraction, transformation, optimization, and complex querying.

- Strong experience in developing dashboards and reports using modern BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

- Proficient Python programming skills, including automation, scripting, advanced analytics, and support for machine learning or AI-enabled solutions.

- Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining data models.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to gather requirements, explain technical concepts, and present analytical findings to diverse audiences.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities combined with commercial awareness and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute effectively across concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience developing Power BI semantic models and writing advanced DAX measures.

- Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling.

- Familiarity with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.

- Experience building or integrating AI agents or generative AI solutions.

- Understanding of modern data warehousing concepts and cloud-based data platforms.

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Data Science, or another quantitative discipline is essential.
