BI Developer - Onsite Karachi

This full-time, onsite role is located in the SITE Area of Karachi and centers on developing and managing business intelligence solutions using Power BI. The position requires close collaboration with various departments to design interactive dashboards and reports that enable data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in data modeling, SQL query optimization, and integrating data from multiple sources such as ERP/SAP systems and APIs. Strong technical expertise combined with effective teamwork skills is essential to meet the organization’s reporting and analytics needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports customized to meet the needs of different departments.
- Gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into practical and efficient BI solutions.
- Create and maintain data models, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations to support accurate reporting.
- Integrate and manage data from diverse sources including SQL databases, ERP/SAP systems, Excel files, and APIs.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to improve reporting performance and accuracy.
- Administer Power BI Service components such as data refresh schedules, workspaces, and user access permissions.
- Automate manual reporting tasks and develop centralized dashboards to streamline management processes.
- Troubleshoot issues related to data integrity, connectivity, refresh failures, and report performance.
- Collaborate closely with IT and business teams to understand and fulfill reporting and analytics requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in Power BI, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics.
- Proficiency in Power BI tools including DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
- Strong skills in SQL and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with Excel and best practices in data visualization.
- Familiarity with Python to support data processing and analysis tasks.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite in Karachi.
