Our Enterprise Applications team at BitSummit is looking for a Microsoft-centric Solution Architect/ Consultant to join an established development practice, primarily based (remotely) in Vancouver but quickly expanding across Canada. This full-time/ regular staff position will be responsible for scoping, solution architecture/ technical design through to team code review and subsequent application support over-sight. Creation of SOW’s, review of technical scope and supporting the sales process in pursuit of new client opportunities is a key balance to technical skills.
- Projects / client work
- Run dev scrum meetings (for long running development projects)
- Work with BA’s to finalize technical requirements
- Solution architecture and technical design
- Code reviews of internal and client solutions
- Assist developers with escalated project and development issues
- Applicable road mapping / envisioning projects
- Creation and delivery of workshops
- Mentoring and guidance to team members
Skills / Knowledge:
Must have
- Cloud based software architectures
- Cloud based software development experience
- Good communication skills (client facing and internal)
- Familiarity with Agile development, DevOps and CI/CD processes
- Experience with web development languages and frameworks
- ASP.Net (C#, MVC and, WebAPI)
- JavaScript (jQuery, Ajax, other frameworks a nice to have)
- Responsive web design (HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript frameworks)
- Experience in WCF services, REST and oData Services
- Experience in .NET, OOP, OOD, Design Patterns
Nice to have
- Office 365 (e.g. SharePoint Online, Teams, …)
- Azure Experience (e.g. resource provisioning and management)
- Databases (e.g. Azure SQL, MySQL, CosmosDB, …)
- Networking (e.g. V-Nets, Subnets, Firewalls…)
- Azure DevOps
