Chief Executive Officer

The Chief Executive Officer will be the key responsible person for overseeing all aspects of the Primary Market Making operations in compliance with PMEX Market Making Framework, SECP regulations, and applicable laws of Pakistan. The CEO will ensure robust governance, effective risk management, operational excellence, and strong regulatory relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the establishment and operationalization of BlueWave Markets as a Primary Market Maker at PMEX.
Develop and implement the company’s Market Making Business Plan, trading strategies, and operational framework.
Ensure continuous compliance with PMEX Rules, SECP Regulatory Framework, AML/CFT Guidelines, and other applicable local/international regulations.
Manage relationships with PMEX, SECP, banks, brokers, liquidity providers, and service vendors.
Oversee trading operations to ensure efficient quoting, risk management, and capital adequacy for market making.
Lead internal functions: Trading, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Finance, and Risk.
Approve and monitor internal control systems, governance policies, and reporting processes.
Drive innovation and adoption of advanced electronic trading technologies to enhance market quality.
Provide regular reports and updates to the Board of Directors and regulatory authorities as required.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience in the financial services industry with focus in trading, brokerage, market making, or asset management.
Prior experience as CEO, Managing Director, or Senior Executive in a regulated financial institution.
Deep understanding of PMEX, commodity markets, market making, and electronic trading platforms.
Proven track record of engaging with SECP, PMEX, and other regulatory bodies.
Strong expertise in risk management, liquidity management, and governance frameworks.
Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and relationship management skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or relevant field.
Must meet the SECP "Fit & Proper" Criteria for CEO of a regulated entity.
