Bookkeeper

Meta Traders is looking for a dependable Bookkeeper to join its Karachi team and ensure the accuracy and organization of financial records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily bookkeeping activities, maintaining proper documentation of transactions, and supporting the accounting department to meet reporting deadlines. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to handle routine financial tasks efficiently to contribute to the smooth operation of the company’s financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Record and classify daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Maintain and update general ledger entries accurately.
- Reconcile bank statements, cash accounts, and other financial records regularly.
- Ensure all financial documentation is properly organized and accessible for audits and reporting.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries as required by management.
- Support the accounting team with routine tasks to facilitate timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Monitor and verify the accuracy of invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial information and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial record-keeping.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and management.
- Familiarity with bank reconciliation and ledger management.
