R&D Supervisor (Research & Development)

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of 8 R&D professionals, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress to meet project deadlines.
Oversee product development processes from research through prototype creation and final production, ensuring alignment with company standards and customer requirements.
Apply cutting, stitching, embellishment, and garment construction knowledge in the development of textile products, actively supporting practical problem-solving.
Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems to ensure all products meet regulatory standards and company quality benchmarks.
Conduct detailed data analysis and interpret research results to drive informed decision-making and product improvements.
Collaborate with design, production, and quality assurance teams to streamline product development and rapidly address technical issues.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including product specifications, testing reports, and development records.
Utilize design thinking methodologies to foster innovation and creative solutions within the teams projects.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in textile engineering and garment manufacturing to keep the company competitive.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors regarding fabrics, trims, and accessories to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Train and mentor team members, promoting strong technical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
Manage multiple concurrent R&D projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and successful completion within budget and time constraints.
Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams to align product development goals with business objectives.
Review and approve samples and prototypes, providing constructive feedback and ensuring readiness for mass production.
Report project updates and outcomes to senior management with clear, data-backed insights.
