Sindh Bank Limited is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join its Audit Division as a Team Member - Branch Audit based in Karachi. The successful candidate will assist in conducting comprehensive branch audits, reviewing banking transactions and supporting documentation, and evaluating adherence to the Bank’s policies, procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a crucial part in identifying operational weaknesses and potential risks, maintaining audit working papers, documenting observations, and supporting the preparation of audit reports. The objective is to enhance the Bank’s control environment and promote operational efficiency across its branches.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct audits and reviews across various branches, divisions, and units as per the Audit Plan or assignments from the Chief Internal Auditor.
- Execute audit procedures to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies, rules, and regulations.
- Collect sufficient, reliable, and relevant evidence to support audit objectives, maintaining proper documentation and cross-referencing to audit reports.
- Analyze gathered information to identify reportable observations, evaluate the control environment, and assess compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify risks related to audit findings and communicate these clearly to the respective branches, offices, or divisions.
- Prepare audit findings and discuss them with team members; draft timely reports incorporating responses from branches or management.
- Assist in compiling the final audit report, including the executive summary, objectives, scope, and financial data, ensuring management responses are included and reviewed.
- Maintain organized and secure audit files, records, and correspondence in chronological order to ensure accessibility and accountability.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking or financial institutions within an audit function.
- Sound knowledge of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations.
- Graduate degree from an HEC-recognized institution.

Preferred Qualifications

- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, MBA, or M.Com are highly desirable.
