Branch Manager

The Branch Manager at Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. (MMBL) plays a pivotal role in leading branch operations to achieve financial and service objectives. Key Responsibilities

- Create a positive work environment and team spirit to meet financial and service goals, planning branch functions with an emphasis on loan and deposit acquisition within the assigned budget.
- Achieve self-funding status by balancing loans and deposits, taking full ownership of the branch as a revenue center.
- Implement cost-saving measures and maintain standards of frugality to align with the dynamics of the microfinance business.
- Act as a credit officer by arranging loan approvals and managing credit processes.
- Oversee all operational and administrative aspects of the branch to ensure smooth functioning.
- Ensure the branch opens promptly at 9:00 AM and closes at the designated time, organizing procedures for efficient opening and closing with clear assignment of responsibilities.
- Optimize branch workflow by deploying resources productively, conducting regular capacity planning, and coordinating with the hub for resource requirements.
- Manage collection and recovery processes to keep delinquencies and losses within assigned limits.
- Execute financial and functional transactions efficiently while maintaining process integrity.
- Plan and manage cash flow to ensure optimal availability for daily operations, avoiding idle cash holdings.
- Arrange ongoing training for branch staff to enhance their professional skills and leadership potential.
- Conduct regular self-assessments and prepare the branch for internal, external, and regulatory audits.
- Uphold the bank’s reputation by ensuring system integrity and accurate financial reconciliation.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce, or a related field from a reputable institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
