A Branch Manager at Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. (MMBL) plays a pivotal role in driving the branch’s financial and service objectives by leading and planning all branch functions. This position focuses primarily on acquiring loans and deposits while operating within budget constraints. The Branch Manager ensures the branch achieves self-funding status by maintaining a healthy balance between loans and deposits. They oversee all operational and administrative activities, ensuring efficient service delivery and smooth branch operations. Key Responsibilities
- Foster a positive work environment and team spirit to meet financial and service targets. Plan branch activities with an emphasis on loan and deposit acquisition, adhering to the assigned budget.
- Achieve and maintain the branch’s self-funding status by balancing loans and deposits, managing the branch as a revenue center.
- Implement cost-saving measures and establish standards of frugality in line with the dynamics of the microfinance business.
- Act as a credit officer by processing and securing loan approvals.
- Oversee all operational and administrative functions of the branch, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Ensure the branch opens promptly by 9:00 AM and closes at the designated time, organizing smooth opening and closing procedures with clear responsibility assignments.
- Optimize branch workflow by deploying resources productively and conducting regular capacity planning to identify staffing needs, coordinating with the hub for resource allocation.
- Manage the collection and recovery processes to keep delinquencies and losses within target limits.
- Execute financial and functional transactions efficiently while maintaining process integrity.
- Plan and manage cash flow to ensure optimal availability for daily operations, minimizing inactive cash holdings.
- Organize and facilitate training programs to enhance the professional and leadership skills of branch staff.
- Conduct regular self-assessments and prepare the branch for internal, external, and regulatory audits, including those by the State Bank of Pakistan.
- Uphold the bank’s reputation by ensuring system integrity and accurate financial reconciliation across all functions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Commerce from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
