We are looking to hire a skilled IT support engineer to assist our clients with all IT related technical support issues.

  • As an IT support engineer, you will meet with clients to determine the nature of the problem, diagnose hardware or software issues, provide effective assistance, and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • You may also be required to install new software applications and train clients on proper application use.

Responsibilities

  • You'll be responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring that users get maximum benefits from them.
  • Individual tasks vary depending on the size and structure of the organisation, but you'll need to:
  • Able to drive and can provide field support
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Talk clients either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
  •  Replace the faulty parts if required
  •   Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  •  Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  •  Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
  •  Work continuously on a task until completion or user satisfaction
  • Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
  • Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
  • Ensure all issues are properly logged on ticketing system
  • Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals

Requirements Skills

You'll need to show evidence of the following:

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
  •  IT related certification
  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
  •  Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments. Also good to have experience in Vsphere, Office 365, Exchange, DNS.
  •  Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software
  • Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus A+ ,MCP
