About us
We are a UK-based startup looking for young, energetic and academically capable individuals to work as online learning assistants in our Lahore-based offices.
Your role will require you to assist UK-based schoolchildren (ages 8-18) with their academic studies via an innovative live-chat and whiteboard system. Our online learning assistant undergo extensive training on the UK academic system, safeguarding legislation, pedagogical techniques and use of the platform before they join us. Online learning assistants are provided with IT hardware and a seat in our very cool Gulberg located offices.

Requirements
- Must have excellent fluency in English
- Must have excellent written communication skills
- Must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject(s) demonstrating expertise
- Must be able to cover at least one of the subjects we support (Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English) to at least high school diploma level - preference will be given to candidates who can teach multiple subjects
- Must feel comfortable using a computer device
- Must display a high standard of ethics, be hard-working and open to new approaches
- Must display a willingness to understand the UK curriculum and be responsive to training approaches
- Must complete company training
- Must possess a clean criminal record without convictions, and have the right to work with children
- Preference for individuals who are available for full time employment (up to 50 hours/week), but open to all applicants
Job description
- Answer students’ questions with a polite greeting to acknowledge you are working on their request within 2 minutes
- Help students with homework with the Socratic method
- Help students understand theories from their syllabus with relevant examples
- Use the tools available on the whiteboard to answer students’ questions
- Upload sample material to send to students from the library/own pc
- While students are not sending messages use time to prepare content/sample questions/examples
- Collect useful feedback on the platform and student engagement

Hiring process
We are looking to hire for our October cohort. As part of the hiring process, your application will be screened and reviewed by our staff, with a screening interview to be conducted. You will then be invited to interview at our Lahore offices to meet your managers and learn more about the job. Upon being hired, candidates will be trained and prepared to begin with us!
