Buckingham Home Private Limited is seeking a skilled WordPress Developer with at least five years of experience to join their team on-site in Lahore. The ideal candidate is proficient in WordPress Theme and Plugin Development, demonstrating a deep understanding of PHP and JavaScript to build, customize, and maintain engaging, responsive websites. This role demands a developer who can work independently to deliver high-quality web solutions that align with business goals.
The WordPress Developer contributes to the design and implementation of web features and functionalities using WordPress Plugin API and Responsive Web Design principles. Although this position does not involve team management responsibilities, strong collaboration and problem-solving skills are essential to work effectively with other departments and stakeholders within the company. The developer must be able to work onsite, ensuring close coordination and hands-on involvement in the project lifecycle from conception through deployment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications and enhance website functionality.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP and JavaScript code to implement new features and maintain existing ones.
- Utilize the WordPress Plugin API effectively to extend WordPress core features and build custom solutions.
- Ensure websites are responsive and optimized for performance across all devices and browsers.
- Collaborate with design and content teams to translate website requirements and designs into functional web pages.
- Troubleshoot and debug code to resolve technical issues and improve website speed and usability.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in WordPress development and web technologies.
- Perform regular site maintenance, including updates, backups, and security enhancements.
- Participate in onsite meetings to discuss project status, challenges, and timelines with stakeholders.
- Ensure all deliverables meet company quality standards and client expectations.
