Budgeting Specialist

Get Flooring, a U.S.-based commercial flooring company serving the Midwest, is seeking a detail-oriented Budgeting Specialist to join their remote team in Pakistan. This role is perfect for someone with strong budgeting and accounting skills who enjoys working with financial data, managing project costs, and supporting cross-departmental collaboration to enhance financial operations and project profitability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks and a solid understanding of cost control and accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting & Cost Control:
Prepare and maintain project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reports. Monitor project expenses by comparing actual costs against budgets and investigate any variances. Analyze discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to improve cost control. Assist with project cost estimates, considering materials, labor, and industry-specific pricing. Collaborate closely with project managers, estimators, and management to ensure accurate financial planning. Maintain accurate budget records and identify opportunities to streamline financial processes.

Accounting & Financial Operations:
Utilize QuickBooks to manage daily accounting activities and maintain precise financial records. Prepare customer invoices, manage billing, and track accounts receivable. Process vendor bills, record expenses, and support accounts payable functions. Assist with payroll processing by reviewing timesheets, verifying payroll data, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. Reconcile accounts and financial transactions, investigating any discrepancies. Maintain organized financial documentation and support month-end reporting and closing activities. Prepare financial summaries and reports to aid management decision-making.

Required Qualifications

- 2–3 years of experience in budgeting, cost estimating, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks is essential.
- Practical knowledge of billing, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence in handling financial data.
- Good understanding of accounting principles, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate across teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Experience in construction, commercial flooring, or project-based industries is a plus. Familiarity with estimating tools such as PlanSwift and CRM systems like Pipedrive is advantageous. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field will be considered an asset.
