Building Inspector / Site Supervisor

ACE Properties, a subsidiary of the ACE Group of Companies, is seeking an experienced Building Inspector to join their team in Kharian and Sarai Alamgir. The ACE Group has a diverse portfolio including digital remittance services across more than 100 countries, digital wallet services in the UK, real estate development, a web-based news channel, advertising, and software solutions in Pakistan. This full-time, site-based role requires a candidate with strong expertise in building construction, from grey structure to final finishing, who can ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, and building bylaws throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities

- Enforce building bylaws, including building line, setbacks, ground coverage, FAR, and height regulations, ensuring no violations occur on site.
- Verify construction activities against approved drawings and maps, maintaining strict adherence to all regulations.
- Confidently interact with contractors and clients regarding bylaws and site compliance.
- Supervise all civil and structural works such as layout, excavation, foundation, brickwork, RCC, shuttering, steel fixing, and concrete pouring.
- Check line, level, alignment, and plumb to guarantee construction accuracy.
- Ensure quality control in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Possess strong knowledge of building materials including cement, sand, aggregate, steel, bricks, blocks, and concrete mix ratios.
- Monitor quality, quantity, and proper usage of materials, including material testing and wastage control.
- Oversee finishing materials and works such as tiles, marble, granite, paint, woodwork, aluminum, glass, and ceiling installations.
- Supervise plastering, flooring, tiling, painting, kitchen and bathroom fittings, and false ceiling works to ensure defect-free handover.
- Conduct daily site inspections and maintain detailed inspection reports and progress updates.
- Manage on-site workforce including masons, laborers, and carpenters.
- Enforce safety measures and maintain a safe working environment on site.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Minimum of 8 years of practical site experience in residential and commercial construction.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building bylaws and ability to enforce them confidently.
- Strong understanding of both grey structure and finishing works.
- Familiarity with market rates and estimation techniques.
- Ability to make firm and decisive decisions with a confident personality.

Preferred Qualifications

- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD for reading and interpreting construction drawings is preferred.
