Business Analyst – Banking Systems & Finance

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst specializing in Finance MIS and Projects to support finance systems, reporting, and project delivery. This role involves executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validating data using SQL, developing reports and dashboards, automating processes, and collaborating closely with Finance, Technology, Operations, and PMO teams. The objective is to ensure accurate and timely financial and regulatory reporting across UAE and overseas locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and execute UAT for projects efficiently and within deadlines, coordinating with multiple teams including Finance, Technology, Operations, Business streams, and PMO.
- Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of data and information required for monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial and management reporting for UAE and international locations.
- Address queries from the finance community related to Finance Information Systems across UAE and overseas.
- Design and develop automated reports and dashboards in collaboration with stakeholders to support various Finance teams.
- Provide standardized and transparent progress updates on deliverables, projects, service tickets, defects, and issue resolution to senior management and stakeholders.
- Track projects, User Request Forms (URFs), and other deliverables meticulously until closure, providing proactive status updates.
- Act as a techno-functional liaison representing Finance during implementation of projects, URFs, change requests, and enhancements related to regulatory, financial, and management reporting systems.
- Collaborate with Finance Information, Projects, and Technology teams to capture and correct data elements, aiding automation and ensuring accuracy in reporting.
- Develop standardized procedures, queries, and templates to streamline and expedite UAT execution.
- Handle periodic and ad-hoc reporting requests primarily from Regulatory, Financial, and Management reporting teams for UAE and overseas.
- Initiate, track, and resolve service tickets related to core banking systems such as T24, ERP, PRIME, FMC, OFSAA, CPR, and other applications impacting reporting.
- Support month-end execution and reporting activities for Regulatory, Financial, and Management reporting teams.
- Engage regularly with Financial Reporting, Management Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Core Banking, Technology, Operations, Business Finance teams, PMO, overseas finance teams, auditors, and external vendors.
- Make informed decisions on day-to-day issues arising during UAT, service tickets, and issue resolution in coordination with Finance Information, Projects teams, and management.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in Finance MIS, Business Analysis, Finance Systems, Management Reporting, or IT projects within the banking or financial services sector.
- Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL for query writing, data extraction, and validation.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, particularly in handling financial data and report development.
- Practical experience planning, coordinating, and executing UAT for projects of varying complexity.
- Good understanding of banking operations, products, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting frameworks.
- Experience designing and developing reports, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions.
- Familiarity with Power BI and reporting tools such as MicroStrategy (MSTR).
- Strong techno-functional aptitude with the ability to coordinate effectively between Finance, Technology, Operations, Business teams, and PMO.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning, and execution skills to manage project deliverables, service tickets, and issue resolution efficiently.
