Business Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and product teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role involves translating business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements, supporting solution design, and facilitating communication between technical and business teams throughout the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will also identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, contribute to Agile ceremonies, and support user acceptance testing to ensure delivered solutions meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
- Analyze current business processes to identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
- Develop business process maps, workflow diagrams, use cases, and system documentation.
- Work closely with Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, Developers, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support solution design by evaluating business needs and recommending scalable, practical solutions.
- Assist with backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization in Agile teams.
- Validate delivered solutions to ensure they meet business objectives and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct impact analysis for proposed business or system changes and support change management activities.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support user acceptance testing by preparing test scenarios and validating business requirements.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure requirements are current throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and serve as the liaison between business and technical teams.
- Support additional business analysis and project activities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
- Proven experience working on software development or digital transformation projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

- Extensive experience in business requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
- Proficiency in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Knowledge of business process modeling techniques and workflow documentation.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborating with software development teams.
- Familiarity with collaboration and documentation tools such as Figma, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Visio.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to manage diverse stakeholder expectations.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into practical technical solutions.
- Experience with REST APIs and system integrations.
- Understanding of UML or other business modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with version control systems.
- Background in process improvement, business transformation, or digital product development is highly desirable.
