Business Analyst

Global Rescue, a global leader in travel risk management services, is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join its Islamabad office. Established in 2004, Global Rescue provides integrated medical, security, intelligence, and crisis response solutions to individuals, enterprises, and governments worldwide. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, product management experience, and excellent communication skills. This mid-level role involves documenting and analyzing business processes to ensure client satisfaction and support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders to thoroughly understand and document business objectives, processes, and requirements, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Communication and Engagement: Maintain an ongoing understanding of customer needs and strategies through formal and informal communication channels. Facilitate project meetings and deliver presentations to senior management, business teams, and technical staff.
- Project Documentation: Create and manage essential project documents such as issue logs, meeting minutes, schedules, summaries, and updates.
- Information Analysis: Analyze data from multiple sources, resolve conflicts, break down complex information into detailed insights, and identify inefficiencies in business processes or systems.
- Requirements Documentation: Develop clear and comprehensive business requirements documents, functional specifications, and related materials including swimlane diagrams, use cases, flow/sequence diagrams, future state proposals, and UAT plans. Ensure documentation is detailed and easy to understand.
- System Integration: Confirm that system requirements meet business needs to support smooth integration and implementation of new systems or features.
- Development and Testing Support: Collaborate with developers to implement requirements, assist testers in creating test plans and cases, and verify that solutions meet quality standards and specifications.
- Facilitation and Presentation: Lead training sessions and present deliverables to all relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in business process documentation, design, and analysis, with a focus on business process workflows.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and product management skills, including the ability to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Experience working collaboratively with users, offshore business teams, and developers to define and document business solutions.
- Proficiency in UML modeling and development of use case documents and other UML diagrams.
- Experience with tools used to create mockups and wireframes.
- Ability to comprehend IT projects and concepts in relation to high-level business objectives and processes, and to communicate these effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Capability to draw system and application architecture diagrams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively across various organizational levels.
