Based in Lahore, Pakistan, this full-time position is designed for a finance professional with 3 to 4 years of experience in the FMCG sector. The role focuses on financial planning, analysis, reporting, and maintaining internal controls. The successful candidate will work closely with the Business Unit Controller (BUC) to support comprehensive business planning processes, ensuring accuracy and quality in all financial deliverables. This position requires providing insightful, data-driven information to enable effective decision-making and contribute to the overall financial health of the business unit.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the BUC in implementing a structured business planning process throughout the organization. This includes delivering transparent forecasts, identifying gaps, assessing risks, and uncovering opportunities for management review. Actively participate in monthly business planning meetings to gain a deep understanding of business dynamics, including opportunities, challenges, and factors affecting the profit and loss statement such as volume fluctuations, pricing strategies, and product quality issues.
Coordinate the execution of base Demand Forecast (DF) financials by collaborating with cross-functional teams such as supply chain, sales, technical, and human resources. Utilize management tools including guidelines, calendars, RACI matrices, and task allocations to ensure smooth and timely completion of tasks. Engage in scenario planning and collaborative analysis with business teams, providing timely insights that support strategic decision-making.
Analyze cost structures to identify opportunities for optimization and highlight areas that may be eroding value. Focus on maximizing returns on investments related to Trade Terms and Sales Promotions Effectiveness (TTS/PFME). Lead the Quarterly Investment Review process within the business unit by coordinating with brand and marketing teams. Ensure all activities are analyzed both before and after implementation in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while monitoring related key performance indicators (KPIs).
Prepare and analyze Replacement Cost Runs, review findings with the BUC and Business Executive Officer (BEO), and present outcomes to the Head of Finance and Control (HoFC) and Managing Director (MD). Track action plans and support the resolution of any identified issues. Ensure timely preparation and completion of critical business deliverables including Monthly Leadership Comments (ML Comments), Sales Performance Contracts (SPCs), PFME reporting, Post-Event Costing (PEC), landing activities, Brand Portfolio tools, and business-specific impairment cases.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Associate Cost and Management Accountant (ACMA), or a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance. Additionally, 3 to 4 years of relevant experience within the FMCG industry is essential, with a focus on financial planning, analysis, reporting, and internal control functions.
