Business Development Manager (Ocean/Air) - Import

The Business Development & Sales Manager role is a senior position focused on expanding the commercial footprint of Scan-Shipping. This role involves driving the acquisition and management of key export clients while aligning market intelligence with revenue strategies. The manager will also mentor junior team members to ensure high performance and smooth operational flow. Based in Karachi, this position plays a critical part in both strategic planning and hands-on execution within the sales department.

Key Responsibilities

- Volume development and sales execution to meet growth targets
- Managing and nurturing client relationships to ensure long-term partnerships
- Overseeing operations and documentation to maintain compliance and efficiency
- Preparing reports and maintaining digital discipline for accurate tracking and analysis
- Gathering and applying market intelligence to inform strategic decisions
- Leading and mentoring the sales team to foster skill development and motivation
- Ensuring administrative compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong networking skills with established connections among freight forwarders in the market
- Good knowledge of local and international governmental, customs, ocean, and hazardous cargo regulations
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and achieve objectives with minimal supervision
- Quick learner with adaptability to changing business environments
