Xerosum is looking for a motivated Business Development Officer to take full ownership of its outbound sales pipeline. This role is focused on proactively hunting new business opportunities rather than managing existing accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying leads, engaging prospects, and closing deals across two main service lines: accounting and bookkeeping services for small businesses in the US, as well as healthcare staffing and revenue cycle management solutions. This position requires targeting US-based clients and working closely with a dynamic, growth-oriented team.
Key Responsibilities
Build and qualify your own lead lists through thorough research and proactive prospecting. Conduct daily cold calls and cold emails with disciplined follow-up to nurture prospects and advance relationships. Manage LinkedIn outreach campaigns, including connection requests, InMails, and content engagement strategies to maximize visibility and engagement. Schedule and lead discovery calls, guiding qualified prospects through proposals and closing deals. Create and manage email marketing sequences while tracking open, reply, and conversion rates to optimize outreach efforts. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system to ensure no opportunities are missed. Provide weekly reports detailing activity levels, pipeline progression, and closed business results to keep leadership informed.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree is mandatory. Candidates must have a minimum of two years’ experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably within service industries such as accounting, healthcare, BPO, or staffing. Demonstrated success in cold calling and comfort with daily phone outreach to cold prospects is essential. Proven ability to generate leads independently by building lead lists from scratch rather than managing inherited accounts. Hands-on experience with cold outreach methods including calls, emails, and LinkedIn as core daily activities. Experience selling to the US market with a solid understanding of American business practices and decision-making processes is required. Strong written English skills, capable of communicating effectively with US-based decision makers. Proficiency with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM platforms, and email outreach tools is expected. The role demands a highly organized individual who can manage 100+ touches weekly without losing track of prospects. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with targets and support, rather than daily supervision, are critical.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience selling to US small businesses or healthcare practices is advantageous. Familiarity with bookkeeping, accounting, or revenue cycle management (RCM) services is a plus. A proven track record of results, with quantifiable achievements to discuss, will strengthen candidacy. The compensation package includes an uncapped commission structure in addition to a base salary. Clear career progression opportunities exist, with potential advancement into senior business development or team leadership roles as the company expands. Candidates will join a small, agile team that values fast decision-making and minimal bureaucracy.
This position requires working in person and aligning with US business hours. During the interview process, candidates will be asked about their years of B2B outbound sales experience, comfort with US business hours, prior use of LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and to describe a deal they closed including how they sourced the lead.
If you are a driven sales professional eager to own the full sales cycle and grow within a dynamic company, this role offers a compelling opportunity to make a significant impact.
