The Business Development Officer role, based in Rawalpindi, is a full-time, on-site position focused on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This includes acquiring new customers, promoting BankIslami’s products, and expanding the branch’s portfolio in alignment with Shariah-compliant banking principles. The officer will conduct market research, analyze customer needs, prepare proposals, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate service delivery. Maintaining strong customer relationships and providing ongoing support to ensure an excellent customer experience at the branch are key aspects of this role. The officer will also be responsible for meeting sales and growth targets, adhering to regulatory and internal compliance standards, and regularly reporting performance and market insights to management.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the branch’s customer base and product portfolio.
- Conduct market research and analyze customer needs to tailor banking solutions.
- Prepare proposals and coordinate with internal teams for efficient service delivery.
- Maintain and strengthen customer relationships through consistent support and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Achieve assigned sales and growth targets within the framework of Shariah-compliant banking.
- Provide regular reports on performance metrics and market trends to management.

Required Qualifications

- Strong skills in new business development, including lead generation, relationship building, and opportunity identification.
- Solid analytical abilities and basic finance knowledge to assess customer profiles and evaluate proposals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective product presentation, negotiation, and teamwork.
- Dedicated customer service skills with a focus on responsiveness, problem-solving, and long-term client satisfaction.
- Relevant experience in banking, financial services, or business development roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Islamic banking principles and Shariah-compliant products is advantageous.
- Ability to work with clear performance targets, uphold strong ethical standards, and maintain commitment to compliance and integrity.
