We are seeking a hands-on Business Systems Analyst to act as the internal subject matter expert for the firm’s HR technology ecosystem during a critical period of system transformation. This fixed-term role will lead several key HR technology initiatives, including the implementation of a new compensation module, an HRIS upgrade, Performance Leader platform enhancements, a new ATS rollout, and the development of advanced people reporting capabilities. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, Technology teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless HR data integration across systems and to position the HR technology environment for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

System Implementation & Project Delivery:
Lead and support end-to-end HRIS upgrades, implementations, and migrations, managing the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering through go-live and stabilization. Translate HR and business needs into clear functional and technical specifications. Coordinate with vendors, implementation partners, and internal technology teams. Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), managing defect resolution. Support upgrades involving mobile applications, AI features, and advanced reporting. Oversee the implementation of a new lateral hire ATS and its integration with the HRIS.

Compensation Module:
Take ownership of the new compensation module implementation, including configuring salary bands, bonus plans, compensation structures, and approval workflows. Manage employee compensation data mapping and migration. Design and maintain integrations between the compensation module and HRIS. Develop reporting tools and audit outputs to support compensation reviews and governance.

Performance Leader:
Support the upgrade, configuration, testing, and impact assessment of the Performance Leader platform. Enhance performance-related workflows and platform capabilities, including the introduction of AI features in future performance cycles. Lead UAT, manage feedback and defect resolution, and ensure timely sign-off. Maintain up-to-date documentation and user guidance.

System Configuration & Administration:
Manage day-to-day HR platform administration, including security roles, workflows, approval chains, and notifications. Configure HR modules such as organizational structure, positions, compensation, absence, performance, onboarding, and reporting. Build business rules, calculated fields, validation logic, and conditional workflows. Maintain configuration documentation and change logs.

Integrations & Data:
Oversee integrations between the HRIS and payroll, ATS, LMS, finance, SSO/Active Directory, and benefits platforms. Support integrations with practice management, time recording, and legal billing systems. Maintain HR master data integrity, monitor integrations, and resolve interface failures or data discrepancies. Administer file-based integrations including SFTP, CSV, XML, and JSON.

Reporting & Analytics:
Develop and maintain SQL queries for HR data extraction, validation, and reporting. Build and manage SSRS reports and scheduled report distributions. Support Power BI dashboards and datasets connected to HRIS data. Contribute to the adoption of Microsoft Fabric. Assist with people analytics, including headcount, attrition, workforce planning, and organizational reporting.

Required Qualifications

- Proven hands-on experience delivering HRIS projects and implementations, including enterprise HRIS administration and configuration.
- Strong understanding of HR data structures, employee lifecycle, organizational hierarchies, position management, performance, and compensation.
- Proficiency with Crystal Reports, SSRS, or Power BI.
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reporting.
- Experience building reports, scheduled reports, and parameterized reports.
- Solid knowledge of data governance and handling sensitive employee data in compliance with GDPR.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working within a sprint/agile methodology.
- Familiarity with SelectHR and SelectPay systems.
- Knowledge of the Performance Leader platform.
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience with legal practice or matter management systems.
- Skilled in API and file-based integrations, including REST/SOAP, JSON, and XML.
- Experience with integration platforms such as SSIS, Boomi, Workato, or MuleSoft.
- Understanding of ITIL or structured change management processes.
- Awareness of SRA regulatory requirements related to workforce and people data.
