Business Systems Analyst

We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst with over four years of experience to effectively bridge business requirements with technical solutions and ensure successful delivery across software development projects.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Engage with clients and stakeholders through interviews and workshops to capture business needs. Analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements, translating them into clear functional specifications and user stories. Identify business objectives, dependencies, constraints, and potential gaps while ensuring alignment with project goals and technical feasibility.

SOW & SRS Documentation: Develop comprehensive Mobile Application Scope of Work (SOW) documents and detailed Software Requirements Specifications (SRS). Define project scope, functional requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and acceptance criteria. Maintain use cases, process flows, and functional specifications throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Business Process & Workflow Analysis: Examine existing business processes and workflows to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Design optimized workflows aligned with business objectives, focusing on process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency. Create process flows and use cases to communicate requirements clearly to technical teams.

Stakeholder & Client Management: Serve as the primary liaison between clients, business stakeholders, development teams, QA, UI/UX designers, and project managers. Facilitate clear communication, manage requirement clarifications, changes, dependencies, and ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Agile & SDLC Practices: Operate effectively within Agile/Scrum environments by participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews. Develop and maintain user stories with acceptance criteria, ensuring traceability and proper communication of requirements. Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to guarantee accurate implementation.

UAT & Quality Assurance Support: Define test scenarios and acceptance criteria based on requirements. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating delivered functionality and collaborating with QA to identify and resolve defects. Provide feedback to ensure solutions meet business expectations and assist in issue resolution during testing and deployment.

Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze business and project data to identify trends and actionable insights. Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to support decision-making. Track project requirements, progress, risks, dependencies, and key metrics, delivering regular status updates to management and stakeholders.

UI/UX & Solution Analysis: Collaborate with UI/UX teams to ensure user requirements translate into intuitive solutions. Participate in wireframing and prototyping discussions, reviewing UI/UX proposals against business needs to ensure alignment with user experience goals.

Technical & Integration Understanding: Assess technical feasibility of requirements with development teams. Understand web, mobile, and cloud architectures, APIs, system integrations, and data flows. Work with technical teams to resolve requirement-related challenges, ensuring solutions are practical and aligned with project constraints.

Documentation, Tools & Continuous Improvement: Maintain business analysis documentation using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office. Ensure traceability between requirements, user stories, test scenarios, and delivered functionality. Identify opportunities to improve analysis processes and stay updated with industry trends and best practices.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development environments.
- Proven expertise in client requirement gathering and stakeholder management.
- Hands-on experience preparing Mobile Application Scope of Work (SOW) and Software Requirements Specification (SRS).
- Strong skills in functional specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC.
- Experience with UAT, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Development, QA, UI/UX, and Project Management teams.
- Strong communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office.
