Cabbot Surgicals is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant financial standards. This role requires strong expertise in budget management, invoicing, billing, accounts payable and receivable, and cash flow management. As an Accounts Manager, you will oversee a team of two professionals, guiding them to maintain efficient accounting practices and deliver accurate financial information that supports the companys strategic financial goals.
In this role, you will lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements while ensuring adherence to financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for managing billing software systems, processing payments, and coordinating all aspects of accounts receivable and payable. Your ability to monitor cash flow and implement controls to safeguard company assets will contribute to the integrity and stability of the company's finances. Your leadership will foster a collaborative environment to promote continuous improvement in accounting procedures and financial management at Cabbot Surgicals.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards.
- Lead budget preparation and monitor budget performance against approved budgets.
- Coordinate timely invoicing and billing using billing software to ensure prompt payment collections.
- Manage cash flow by monitoring inflows and outflows, and optimize working capital to maintain financial stability.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Supervise and guide a team of two accounting personnel to enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable aging schedules to identify and resolve outstanding issues.
- Prepare regular financial reports for senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in financial regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members to increase accounting knowledge and skills.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to financial transactions and records.
- Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditors inquiries.
