As a Cabin Crew member, you will serve as the airline’s ambassador, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. Your primary focus will be to enhance the overall passenger experience by delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring safety and comfort throughout the entire flight. You must be prepared, fit, and compliant with company policies and productivity standards to operate efficiently within the airline’s framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure punctual attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and compliance with legal requirements for assigned flights. Participate actively in pre-flight briefings to understand flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Instruct passengers on safety protocols, ensuring their comfort and security at all times. Identify potential safety and security risks and collaborate with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Provide first aid to passengers when necessary and promptly report any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain.
- Welcome passengers and assist with boarding formalities, accurately recording necessary information in the aircraft logbook as per airline and aviation authority guidelines. Deliver continuous excellent customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Support passengers experiencing stress or difficulties in accordance with operational policies.
- Actively promote onboard sales, including meals, products, and the “Charity Cloud” program, contributing to individual and team revenue targets. Handle cash and credit card transactions securely and responsibly.
- Conduct pre-flight checks to verify adequate supplies, emergency and catering equipment, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain. Assist in maintaining cabin cleanliness during transit stops and ensure proper restocking of catering and duty-free products.
- Manage orderly handover and takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance teams. Complete post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any flight-related issues. Assume Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain.
- Maintain professional knowledge and safety competencies by attending recurrent training, emergency procedure drills, and workshops. Ensure all licenses are current and contribute to team goals by meeting sales targets and operational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel or Tourism is advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is preferred.
- Physically fit to fly with no serious medical conditions or chronic illnesses.
- Presentable appearance with a friendly, positive attitude, even under pressure.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to understand and respond to passenger needs.
- Skilled in managing difficult situations and handling upset customers while maintaining the airline’s image.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and a team player with initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Requirements
- Age between 20-29 years for entry-level candidates and up to 33 years for experienced crew.
- Minimum height: 160 cm for females and 170 cm for males, with weight proportional to height and age.
- Clear skin with no visible tattoos or marks when in uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties, including the ability to swim with flotation aid.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in cabin crew roles or customer service within airlines, aviation, or hospitality industries is an advantage.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is beneficial.
- Willingness to work in shifts and extended hours, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to frequent schedule changes.
