Cashier

Cafe 1 is seeking an experienced Cashier with at least 3 years of proven expertise in handling cash transactions and operating point of sale systems. The ideal candidate manages a team of 8 persons efficiently, ensuring smooth daily cash flow operations and excellent customer service. This role demands accuracy in transaction processing and cash management while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude toward customers. The successful candidate will support the cafes financial activities by overseeing cash handling, reconciling daily sales, and coordinating cashier duties within the team to uphold operational standards.
Responsibilities
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions and payments accurately.

Manage cash drawers by counting cash, processing payments, and providing change accurately while preventing discrepancies.

Oversee a team of 8 cashiers, provide guidance and support, ensure adherence to company cash handling procedures, and maintain a positive working environment.

Reconcile cash receipts at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accuracy and resolve any inconsistencies promptly.

Assist customers courteously and professionally, addressing inquiries and resolving transaction-related issues to enhance the customer experience.

Use cash handling software to maintain accurate records of daily sales and cash flow, generating reports for management as required.

Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash management, security protocols, and safety regulations.

Train and mentor new cashier team members on POS operation, cash handling practices, and customer service standards.

Collaborate with inventory and operations staff to ensure smooth coordination during busy periods and special events.

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cashier station to promote an efficient and customer-friendly environment.
