Canva Specialist

In this hourly, remote contractor position, you will serve as a Canva Specialist (Subject Matter Expert) responsible for creating realistic and challenging computer-based tasks using Canva and related design workflows. Your role involves designing practical Canva assignments, documenting them clearly within SuperAnnotate, ensuring your work environment is fully prepared, and recording yourself performing the tasks on your computer. These tasks may range from social media posts and presentations to flyers, brand assets, templates, infographics, resumes, marketing graphics, image editing, layout adjustments, export workflows, and collaborative design projects. Your contributions will support the training of advanced AI models by demonstrating how real users complete visual design tasks in browser-based tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Create realistic Canva tasks by developing challenging assignments that can be executed using Canva, then document each task clearly in SuperAnnotate.
- Prepare your work environment to support the task, ensuring access to Canva, availability of necessary files, images, assets, brand details, and any required references before recording.
- Record yourself executing the Canva tasks on your computer, following project instructions closely to ensure the workflow is clear, complete, and realistic.
- Provide detailed documentation of the task context, including steps, goals, files, assets, and notes, so reviewers fully understand the task and how it was completed.
- Demonstrate practical use of Canva software by completing workflows involving templates, text editing, layout changes, image placement, branding, presentations, social posts, flyers, infographics, exports, or sharing features where applicable.
- Maintain high submission quality by reviewing your recordings and documentation before submission to ensure completeness, clarity, realism, and alignment with project guidelines.

Required Qualifications

- Proven hands-on experience using Canva for creating social media graphics, presentations, flyers, posters, templates, brand kits, infographics, or marketing/design workflows.
- English proficiency at a B2 level or higher to accurately understand project instructions, document tasks clearly, and communicate effectively with the project team.
- Comfortable working with computers and browser-based tools, including managing files, uploads, downloads, exports, and recording workflows.
- Ability to design realistic and challenging Canva tasks that reflect actual use cases in design, marketing, administration, sales, education, or content creation.
- Strong understanding of Canva fundamentals such as templates, elements, text styles, images, layers, alignment, brand kits, colors, spacing, exports, and sharing capabilities.
- Capability to ensure your setup fully supports the task, including having Canva access, necessary files/assets, images prepared, and any references ready prior to recording.
- Exceptional attention to detail when preparing tasks, executing workflows, and verifying that recordings are complete and understandable.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to consistently deliver high-quality work in a remote, hourly contractor role across different time zones.
