The role involves operating assigned flights in strict accordance with the Airline Operational Manual and relevant civil aviation regulations. The pilot is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of safety, security, and operational efficiency throughout each flight. This includes leading and supporting the flight and cabin crew, managing emergencies and unexpected situations effectively, and maintaining control to ensure successful flight performance and uphold the airline’s positive corporate image.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate the assigned aircraft between destinations following approved schedules and flight plans, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort.
- Conduct flights in compliance with the Airline Operations Manual and regulatory requirements, implementing and monitoring all necessary procedures to ensure safe and smooth operations.
- Maintain punctuality, proper grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for self and flight crew. Conduct thorough pre-flight briefings to ensure all crew members are informed and prepared.
- Coordinate with co-pilots and the Dispatch Team before each flight, sharing critical information such as aircraft technical status, route preferences, weather conditions, fuel requirements, and role assignments.
- Optimize fuel usage during flights within safety constraints outlined in the Operations Manual.
- Oversee safety, security, fuel, and transit checks before, during, and after flights, directing crew responses to any irregularities and escalating issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Engineers to verify aircraft technical status and airworthiness, working with MCC and MROs to address any defects or concerns promptly.
- Ensure all required documentation and technical logs are accurately completed and maintained according to airline and regulatory standards, including technical logbooks, journey logs, boarding sheets, and reports.
- Guarantee that the Airline Operations Manual is distributed, updated, understood, and adhered to by all flight crew members.
- Stay current with legal requirements from civil aviation authorities, aircraft manufacturers, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Perform additional ground-based duties such as Safety Officer or Security Officer as assigned, following the provisions of the Airline’s Operations Manual.

Required Qualifications

- Valid ATPL License is mandatory.
- Successful completion of technical and psychometric assessments as per airline and civil aviation authority standards.
- Medical fitness certification for pilots in line with regulatory requirements.
- Formal training in safety and emergency response is essential; additional qualifications are advantageous.
- Proficiency in aircraft systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing and presentations.
- Excellent command of the English language; knowledge of local languages is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum of 4,000 flight hours, preferably on Airbus A320 aircraft.
- Experience working with low-cost airlines is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of aircraft systems and operating procedures.
- Familiarity with security, safety, and audit procedures related to flight operations.
- Ability to implement policies, procedures, and manuals according to approved standards.
- Proven capability to perform effectively in dynamic environments with heavy workloads and ad-hoc situations.
- Composed, confident, and focused, with strong emergency and threat management skills.
- Skilled in data analysis, problem identification, and recommending cost-effective solutions.
- Cost-conscious with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrates technical expertise and interpersonal skills to support organizational goals.
- Proven track record of contributing to business strategies and achieving key performance indicators.
