Category Buyer – Grocery, Cosmetics & Ultra Fresh

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Category Manager to oversee the Grocery, Frozen, and Ultra Fresh categories. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving category growth by managing supplier relationships, optimizing product assortments, and ensuring strong category performance aligned with customer demand and market trends. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and a solid background in retail or FMCG environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the Grocery, Frozen, and Ultra Fresh categories to ensure effective category development and growth.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suitable suppliers, brands, and products that align with business objectives.
- Negotiate purchase prices, margins, payment terms, rebates, discounts, and promotional support with suppliers to maximize profitability.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers and business partners to support long-term success.
- Analyze sales data, margins, stock levels, inventory turnover, and overall category performance to inform decision-making.
- Plan product assortment strategically based on customer demand, current market trends, and specific store requirements.

Required Qualifications

- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Retail, FMCG, or Category Buying.
- Proven track record in managing product categories and supplier negotiations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, in-person work environment.

Additional Information

- Location: Karachi, Pakistan
- Compensation: Rs125,000 to Rs150,000 per month
- Work Location: On-site
